I first started reading Marvel Comics at the age of ten, back in 1972. I had a paper round then, and although the official delivery day for new comics was Saturday, I knew the truth — they arrived at the newsagent on Thursday evening.

I just couldn’t wait that long. Every Thursday after my round, I’d sneak round to the side door of the shop and knock. The owners, who lived above the shop, soon got used to me turning up early. They’d often let me in to have a first look at the latest issue of The Mighty World of Marvel before anyone else. From that moment on, I was hooked.

Those early days sparked a lifelong love of comics — the artwork, the stories, the smell of the ink, and the thrill of following the adventures of my favourite heroes week after week. Over the years, that passion grew into a collection spanning decades of Marvel history.

Now, through this site, I’m sharing that collection with other fans and collectors who still feel the same excitement when they open a classic comic.

Our Collection

This shop focuses mainly on Spider-Man comics from the 1960s and 1970s — mostly original U.S. cents copies — along with a smaller selection of other classic Marvel titles like The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man.

Every comic listed here comes directly from my personal collection, built over many years of collecting, trading, and careful storage. Whether you’re searching for a specific issue or just browsing for a bit of nostalgia, I hope you’ll find something special here.

About Grading and Quality

I’m not an official comic grader, but I take great care to describe each comic accurately. Any issues that show an official grade were purchased that way. For others, the grades I’ve listed are conservative estimates — I prefer to understate rather than overstate.

If you’re interested in a particular comic, you’re very welcome to request photographs of any pages or details before buying. My goal is to make sure every buyer knows exactly what they’re getting — and feels the same confidence and excitement I did when I picked up my first Marvel comic.
